Honey, Turmeric, and Yogurt Mask~
I've explained the benefits of Yogurt on here before. Basically, its a really good moisturiser. Honey is high in anti oxidants that make your skin soft and radiant(: Turmeric is known for its Ayurvedic values as inflammatory, anti-aging, and antiseptic agents. So, heres how to make the mask(:
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of PLAIN yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 teaspoons of organic turmeric powder
Combine all of these together and mix until its smooth. Apply the mask and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water and pat dry.
Enjoy!~
Banana Honey Mask~
Hey(: Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, which are not only good for your health, but for your skin as well. Its also loaded with soothing properties that help with skin inflammation. Honey has an amazing ability to retain and absorb moisture, protect the skin from sun damage, helps the face look smooth and radiant, and much more. So, heres what you need for the mask!
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- I ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- An orange or lemon
Mix the banana and honey together. After that, add a few drops of the lemon or orange juice to the mixture. Spread on the face for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.
Enjoy!~
Strawberry/Yogurt Mask~
Strawberries are a great source of salicylic acid, which is found in most over the counter acne products. The yogurt of course, is great for moisturising the skin.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of cut up strawberries (Fresh, if you can)
- 1/4 cup of non flavored, plain yogurt or sour cream
Mash together the straw berries and yogurt/ sour cream. Apply this to your face and wash off after 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy!~
Kitty Litter Mask~
It seems unlikely, but is actually a fairly okay mask(: Natural clay cat litter is made of the same ingredients as the clays found in expensive spa facials. Its made out of clay formed into tiny pellets and dried. If you want to try this out, be sure to check the ingredients for sodium betonite clay, or 100% natural clay.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of cat litter(make sure its marked properly!)
- Water
- Drops of your favorite essential oil (optional.)
Mix a couple tablespoons of the cat litter with water and drops of oil. Apply to face, wash off with warm water after 15 minutes, and pat dry.
Enjoy!~
Yogurt/Egg White Mask
This is a very soothing mask, as well as a great moisturiser. Yogurt has anit-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, so it works for unclogging the pores and cleansing the skin. It also contains lactic-acid which softens the skin, reduces the appearance of wrinkles and hydrates dry areas of the skin. Egg whites help ward off wrinkles and potentially tighten the skin. To makes this mask, this is what you will need:
- 2 Egg whites (seperated from the yolk.) and placed in a bowl
- 2 Tablespoons of yogurt.
Mix the two ingredients together. By the way, DO NOT use flavored yogurt, it has to be plain. Apply them all over your face. Leave it on for a few minutes, rinse off with warm water, and pat dry.
Organization~
So I have always had problems with organization. Right now I share a room with my sister who has an un godly amount of clothes and it takes up alot of the space. So I'm sharing some tips on how to use your space wisely(:
1.) Use your wall space. This means getting a corkboard and some shelves to put things on instead of in the floor or for me, on your dresser and desk. Also, if you have a flat screen, instead of putting it on a stand, you can put it on the wall(:
2.) Book shelves. I have a crap ton of books, and they used to be stacked in little piles all over the place. Not only were they hard to find, they make my room look like a pile of crap. So by putting books (Or movies, games, hair products, make up, etc.) on the book shelf, it made everything appear so much neater.
3.) Closet organizers. These are pretty helpful, if you have too many clothes *coughmysister* then putting any extra clothes/purses/etc. on this. Its alot more helpful then a basket and saves alot of floor space.
4.) If you're wondering on how to organize jewelry, makeup, school/art supplies and whatnot, there are quite a few ways to do that. For necklaces, you can put cardboard up, (if you wanna make it look fancy, put some decorative paper on it or something.) then hand them on the cardboard using tacks. I havent done it with bracelets, but you could probably use them like that too. Also, a jewerly box is helpful if youre not up for have jewelry hanging all over your room. For makeup/ nailpolish, this is pretty obvious, but use little organizing boxes/drawers. They really are helpful(:
I cant really think of any more at the moment. But if I do, Ill make a more detailed description to this.
Enjoy!~
